$1,500 is the maximum total amount that can be claimed
for all products placed in service in 2012 & 2013 for most home
improvements. When purchasing a stove keep your receipt and
the Manufacturer Certification statements. Use IRS tax form
5695, it will be available late 2013.
Bio Mass Fuel
Biomass fuel means any plant - derived fuel available on a renewable or recurring basis, including agricultural crops and trees, wood, wood waste and residues (including wood pellets), plants, grasses, and fibers.
Wood pellets are a type of biomass fuel that has the capacity of being transitioned into energy. This renewable form of energy turns readily available waste products into clean sources of economic fuel.
People regularly use less than 40% of the space in
their home. By using a pellet stove, wood stove or fireplace insert
to warm the rooms used most (zone heating) allows the family to
heat more efficiently by turning down their central thermostat,
which also saves money – potentially 30-50% of their fuel
bill.
As the cost of heating oil and natural gas rise, using energy – efficient wood pellet stoves combined with the tax credit saves you money.
Remember Bio Mass stoves prevents pollution, and by taking steps to optimize the performance of your heating equipment, you are helping to prevent Global warming and promoting clean air while enhancing the comfort of your home.
